For your consideration, a fine set of “Postscripts on Dwiggins” in very good slipcase.
A loving tribute to Dwiggins by many of his friends, colleagues, and associates, published by the Typophiles in 1960. Dwiggins passed away in 1956, as arguably the most singularly talented of all the American type and book designers of any era. Much laudatory ink has been spill on the subject of his life and work, particularly in the years immediately after his death. This fine production of but one example.
Designed by Dwiggins' colleague Rudolph Ruzicka and printed in Portland, ME at the Anthoensen Press. These are Volumes 35 & 36, issued like all other Typophiles Chap Books of the era in an edition of 1,500.
There are few other copies available on line. Do your due diligence, then come back and place your order knowing that you're supporting a working letterpress craftsman.
As always, excess postage is promptly refunded.
Your patronage allows me to continue to practice the letterpress craft using traditional methods.
