A History of the Platen Jobber - Ralph Green

Shipping to United States: $10.00

For your consideration, a very nice copy of “A History of the Platen Jobber” by Ralph Green.

Illustrated with rather crude drawings by Green of several historic American platen presses including Ruggles' Engine Press, Gordon's Alligator Press, the Liberty, the Clamshell press and others. Along with descriptions, the book presents a chronological list of presses.

Printed at the Office of Philip Reed, the book is a limited edition.

No. 186/495 copies.

No previous owner's marks. Solid joints and hinges. The boards have minor rubbing, but the spine is in good shape.

Compare with the other copy currently available on-line, then come back and place your order.

As always, excess postage is promptly refunded.

Your patronage allows me to continue to practice the letterpress craft using traditional methods.
